Objective
How do we set our team up for success by communicating clearly instead of just relying on word of mouth?

Big Idea
What if we could create just a few documents that would outline what’s expected of everyone?

Challenge
Accommodate different strengths and weaknesses and get four managers to agree on standards and practices.

Result
Onboarding and collaboration were significantly easier, and performance conversations were more productive.

Team
I worked closely with another senior (“principal”) designer, and our managers were the stakeholders.

Lesson
It’s worth writing down what “everyone” knows just to find out if everyone actually knows and agrees on it.
